This year for Reusable Nappy Week, I was tasked with taking some fairly rough raw footage and editing it into an explainer video to help eco campaigners, The Nappy Alliance spread the word about the benefits of reusable nappies. A functional and expositive asset, this video might not have all the bells and whistles, but it gets across in no uncertain terms the impact that our single-use lifestyles have on the planet.
Editing in Premiere pro with help from After Effects
Having been provided raw footage and a play-by-play of the order that the points should be in, editing this little video was a really fun task beginning with quality and colour correction through to adding music and supporting motion graphics. Animating 25 separate motion graphics was easily the most time consuming aspect of this project, but pairing this serious video with the slightly iconic/diagrammatic motion graphics which fit perfectly into The Nappy Alliance's branding was a perfect fit, and proved to be quick and easy to implement.
